What is the miraDry Treatment?

It is a non-invasive, safe approach to removing the underarm glands that cause sweat and odor in the area. What Can I Expect From a miraDry Procedure?
A lot of Dr. Gold’s patients have found comfort throughout the procedure, as it is painless with minimal to no downtime. Before the start of the treatment, local anesthesia is applied to the underarm area to increase patient comfort during the procedure. In fact, most patients report pain only during the administration of anesthetic injections. The miraDry treatment does not require any cuts or incisions. A specialized handpiece will be placed in multiple areas in each underarm. Normally, a miraDry treatment will take up to an hour and can be done in a single doctor’s appointment.

What Can I Expect From miraDry Results?

As with any other aesthetic treatment, specific results may vary from patient to patient, yet the average sweat reduction in miraDry patients reach up to 82%.
Most patients who have undergone the procedure experience only minimal downtime, which means they can easily return to their daily activities right after the procedure. However, exercise may have to be resumed only after several days from the day of treatment. Side effects may include numbness, bruising, swelling and increased sensitivity in the area for several days after treatment.
